Bio
I'm Greg. I'm married to yarbiedoll.

I was an adult Sunday School teacher from July 2001 through March 2009. I love God, I love the Bible, and I love teaching, so this was a great gig for me. It was a very rewarding job.

Currently at church, I concentrate my efforts playing guitar (and sometimes bass) for the praise team at The Mount. This is also extremely rewarding and a lot of fun.

I graduated from North Carolina State University in 1996 with a degree in Computer Science. Since then, I've been practicing my trade as a software developer in Greensboro, NC. When I get time, I like to get away on my motorcycle, a 1999 Honda Shadow VLX (black, of course).

I'm a ham radio operator; my call is KJ4AED. I earned my Technician License in October 2007 and upgraded to General in November 2007. I currently do not own any radio equipment myself, and am happy to have access to a loaner HT from the local radio club.

I enjoy geocaching and waymarking.

According to smerp, I am the master of silly haiku.

In addition to this journal, I don't maintain drmellow_novel to chronicle my foray into writing a novel. I also don't maintain drmellow_mando, where I don't write about mandolin-related things.

I also don't maintain Radio DTB (syndicated on LJ as radiodtb), a blog featuring live music from the Derek Trucks Band, including a weekly 30 minute podcast.
