I mentioned it in a filtered post on Monday, so this might be a bit of a repead read for some of you. One of my coworkers was murdered by her husband at their home on Sunday morning. I guess I'm still in shock. Thu was a great person, coworker, and friend. She used to share her Vietnamese tea with me. Just last week, I had brought in some of my China tea to share with her, but we never got around to having it. It's just really weird that she's gone now. Yesterday, the company had a counselor on-site to have optional "debreifing sessions" for us. They were set up as group sessions to just talk about some of the things that we were all thinking and feeling. I wasn't really planning on it, but I went to one of them. I'm glad I did. More than anything else, the session showed me that we all have different memories of Thu and different ways of dealing with her death.
The visitation is tonight. I don't know if I'll be going to that, but I'm planning on going to the funeral tomorrow.
