I got my lesson six back and didn't do as poorly as I expected. I made a careless mistake twice, another careless mistake once, and a few minor mistakes. When sending my exercise in, I mentioned to my tutor that it was beginning to become more difficult for me and I found myself referring to my notes a bit more than I would have liked. He gave me the following advice:
By the way, one way you will improve quickly is by journaling or writing letters, and it's fine to refer to your notes when you do that. As you use it more and more, it will all become more automatic.
That's a great idea -- I think I'll try to do some journaling and/or letter-writing to help solidify my learning. Perhaps, I'll try to start a thread in learn_esperanto or something to help the learning process. OK, maybe I'm not quite comfortable with being ready for that, yet. At this point, my level of ability would be rather basic, but everyone has to start somewhere, right?
