FridayFive: Online

Today's FridayFive is designed to point out to the world just how much of an online geek I am.

1. How much time do you spend online each day? Ten to twelve hours, I guess. I don't spent all of my time at work just surfing around or anything, but I do stay connected to an instant messaging service so I can communicate with my coworkers cross-country. So, if you don't want to count the time I'm at work, subtract about eight hours a day.

2. What is your browser homepage set to? At home:, at work: Google News (Mozilla) and an internal company website (IE).

3. Do you use any instant messaging programs? If so, which one(s)? Yup, mostly AIM/iChat. I can also be found on YahooMessanger. I use Trillian at work to manage those. At home, I just use iChat. Also at work, I use Jabber.

4. Where was your first webpage located? I made my first web page when Mosaic was the browser of choice, 'cause it was the only browser. 1995? 1994? I'm not exactly sure when anymore. It was when I was in college and was hosted on the college computer system. I was involved with catt, a residence hall program that encouraged students to explore technology-related things and we had the capability to host and maintain our own web pages. My Johnny Cash pages started out when I was in college.

5. How long have you had your current website? I've had a web site consistantly ever since college. After college, I hosted it at my ISP. Now, I host it with My site has always had the same content, or evolving content, but I've had it at for a little over a year now. Prior to it's current domain, I had it at (I won a free registration for that) for about a year and redirects it.
