Johnny Cash Tribute Concert

The Johnny Cash Tribute Concert continues to be planned. They've announced the procedure for trying to get the free tickets. From an article posted on the website for a Memphis TV station:

The Johnny Cash Memorial Tribute is set to take place on November 10 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Stars lined-up to perform include:  John Mellencamp, Dwight Yoakam, George Jones, Rosanne Cash, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Hank Williams Jr., Sheryl Crow, Jack Clement, Steve Earle and Larry Gatlin.  Bob Dylan , Bono and Bruce Springsteen are not confirmed yet.   Publicist Kirt Webster says that tickets are free of charge.  He also says that any fan interested in attending the event is being asked to participate in the lottery system that is arranged by Artist Consultants Productions, Inc., the Ryman Auditorium and the Cash family.

To enter; send your name, address and daytime telephone number on a 3 ½” x 5” card or paper to: Johnny Cash Memorial Tribute, P.O. Box 20003, Nashville, Tennessee 37202. All entries must be received by October 26, 2003, at 10:59 pm. Recipients will be chosen in a random drawing on or around October 27, 2003, and will be notified by phone no later than October 31, 2003.

I'll be sending in my request for a ticket tomorrow. If any of my readers are not interested in going to the tribute but are interested in increasing my chances of going, feel free to send in a lottery entry as well. If you win and are not able to use your ticket, I can make sure that it is used by a fan.
