Hayseed Dixie!

I just got back from the Hayseed Dixie show. These guys are great. After the show, I got the band to autograph the liner notes from their albums. The bass player told me that he recognized me from the other High Point show. That was cool. The mandolin player said he liked my overalls -- they were just like his.

They're going to do a show in Johnson City next month that they're planning on recording and turning into a live album. I'm thinking about going.

Boxing

I really enjoy the sport of boxing. I'm watching two guys I've never heard of box on HBO right now. Both of these guys are pretty good. It's refreshing to see a match that isn't as one-sided as most matches I've seen recently. Of course, it's only round three. I assume as the match progresses, one of these guys will emerge as obviously superior -- that's what usually happens.

[Edit: Oh, yeah. By the twelfth round, Barrera was clearly superior (winner by unanimous decision with scores of 116-112, 118-110, 118-110). But Tapia was a lot more fun to watch. I could tell that Tapia really enjoys the sport. He gives the fans an extremely entertaining show.]
