Dixie Chicks!

The Dixie Chicks on Saturday Night Live tonight were cool. It's funny, earlier today I was talking with my father about SNL and how I haven't been paying too much attention lately to the musical guests. And now, SNL throws me the Dixie Chicks. I really enjoyed the second song they sung -- maybe it's called "Sin Wagon." Now I want to go listen to music from the "Oh Brother Where Art Thou?" soundtrack....

Max Headroom

And, WooHoo! "Max Headroom" comes on TechTV at one o'clock Sunday mornings. I haven't seen Max in a long, long time. I love this show. I also recently heard that they are considering bringing it back. That would be great. Heck, except for the occasional obvious 80s hairstyle, they could simply show the reruns today. The stories, setting, etc. still look fresh.

And when Max is off, I'll head over to the WB to watch me some "Outer Limits" before drifting into my blissful sleep of exhaustion. Yes, that's right, I'm planning to go to sleep at about three o'clock.

[Edit: Case in point about Max. Tonight's episode is called "Baby Baggers" or some such. The premise is that a man and woman can donate sperm and egg, some company will take care of incubating the child, and the parents can come back in nine months and pick up their baby. As an added bonus, the parents can choose the sex and some characteristics of the child. It's almost as if the basic premise of this episode was taken from last week's newspaper. I love this show.]

Gangs of New York

I saw "Gangs of New York" tonight. I think that was a waste of both a fistful of dollars and three hours of my life.

OK, it wasn't that bad, but I certainly think there are a lot of other movies out there that I would have enjoyed more.
