I really dig reading, but it's a habit that runs hot and cold with me, it seems. Sometimes, I just can't seem to be reading. Other times, like this, I can't put a book down. A few days ago, I finished Ring Of Fire: The Johnny Cash Reader. I've been working on that one off an on for a few months. It was a really, really interesting book. It chronicled Johnny Cash's career from the beginning up to his American releases. It's a collection of newspaper and magazine articles representative of the publicity that Cash has received throughout his career. It's a very interesting way to review the span of Cash's life and was a very, very enjoyable book.
I'm currently reading Man In White. It's a fictionalized account of Paul (from the New Testament) and his life both before and after his conversion to Christianity. I'm about a third of the way through at this point (Saul is getting ready to begin his crusade of killing early Christians -- this is obviously before his conversion.) Get this, though -- it's written by Johnny Cash. It's upstairs, so I can't check the copyright, but it's a book that's been around a while and is currently out of print. I've been looking for a copy on and off for a few years now. A few weeks ago, I found a copy in the church library and borrowed it. I'm really enjoying it and expect to have it finished by the end of the week.
It's really good to be reading again.
