I had a great weekend in Blowing Rock. Perhaps I'll post a bit more about it tomorrow. One of the highlights was listening to two men (father/son? with the older man in his seventies or eighties) play some bluegrass music Friday night while I was eating my BBQ supper. It was yummy and fun. We requested "In The Pines" and they happily obliged. I even ended up chatting with the younger of the two men during their set break. I definitely want to learn how to play better bluegrass guitar. And I'm pretty sure I want to take up mandolin. That would be a cool counterpart to ccohoon's banjo when we get together and jam.
I got to work on my novel some. (See drmellow_novel for more information on that.) I made good progress. I'm ahead of schedule right now, but I'm sure that will disappear in the next few days. I suspect that I had more time to write this weekend than I'll have anytime the rest of the month. We'll see how it goes.
Now, however, it's time for me to get some sleep.
