I Miss Johnny Cash

I miss Johnny Cash.

That's so weird to say, 'cause it's not like I used to call him up on the phone or anything. I've still got his albums and can listen to them whenever I want. I was away from home last night when they broadcast that Tribute Concert that I wish I was able to attend, but I recorded it. I've been watching it on an off all afternoon. Hearing all of the other talented people do wonderful jobs singing Johnny Cash songs is what has finally brought it home to me that Cash is done making his mark on the world now.

I miss Johnny Cash.

Me to
I also miss Johnny. I was never a huge fan like you, but I always thought he had that certain vibe to him which made him special. The other day at work I was listening to my iPod and one of his songs came on. I got thinking about how he was gone and it made me sad.

Re: The world is a darker place with them gone!
I was litterally "bottle fed" listening to Johnny Cash. My dad grew up in Colt, AR, was a cotton farmer, jumped out and joined the USAF as Johnny Cash did. Its been more than 3 months sice his death and today, I looked into the sky and it seemed less bright. Seems like all of our good, real, and talented people are dead or dying. I think of Mr. Rogers, Charles Schultz, June Carter-Cash, Carol O'Connor, Bob Hope, John Ritter....The list just grows exponentially...Is anyone; can anyone step up and replace them to any degree? I miss Johnny Cash the most! I REALLY hope to see him in Heaven someday! :)
