Kickin Grass this Sunday

I've been rather busy lately, so I have not been able to update my journal as often or as thoroughly as I would like. I'll see what I can do about catching up over the next few days.

I mentioned it before, and I'll mention it again now. I've discovered a new (to me) bluegrass band: Kickin Grass. It turns out that they're playing a show in Chapel Hill this Sunday. I'm on their email list and got a reminder email about it a day or two ago. In the email, they hinted that there might be homemade cookies to be had during intermission. Now, if that's not fun, I don't know what is! Here's some more information about the upcoming show from one of their earlier newsletters:

We're also starting ticket sales for the Kickin Grass Bluegrass and Holiday Show at the Historic Playmaker's Theater on the campus of UNC-Chapel Hill. We'll be playing your favorite Kickin Grass tunes as well as a full set of holiday songs including a few carols you can sing along to. It's a sure-fire way to put you, your family and friends in the holiday spirit. Here are the details:

Sunday, December 14th, 6-8 pm
Kickin Grass Bluegrass and Holiday Show
Historic Playmakers Theater, Chapel Hill, NC
$7 general admission and $5 for UNC students

I'm going to be there. Anyone in the area should consider coming, too. We'll have a grand old time. At seven dollars, it's a great deal for what I imagine will be a great, fun bluegrass show. If you want to join me for the show, let me know and we can make arrangements to meet and/or carpool.
