It looks like they've got a great line-up planned already, with promises of adding even more acts:
While the event will feature over 40 total acts, early confirmations include the Derek Trucks Band, Yonder Mountain String Band, Keller Williams, Burning Spear, Steve Kimock Band, Umphrey's McGee, Tony Rice Unit, Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, Sanjay Mishra/Rob Wasserman Duo, Garaj Mahal, The Waybacks, Perpetual Groove, Barefoot Manner, Zen Tricksters, Lotus, Raisinhill, Cadillac Jones and many, many more.I'm looking forward to hearing a lot of really cool music.
I'm even planning on bringing my mandolin in hopes of finding folks to jam with. I tried to convince my brother, ccohoon, to join us and bring his banjo. He gave me some sort of excuse about already having plans or something. I guess I'll just have to find a banjo player at the festival and make a new friend.
If you'd like to come to SmileFest too, tomorrow is the last day to get tickets at a reduced price. ($70 instead of $85 or $100 for the whole weekend). It would be pretty cool if a bunch of people I knew decided to come too. We could all camp together.
