Lunchtime Allergies

Something that I enjoy: coming home for lunch.

Something that I do not enjoy: pollen.

Watery eyes. Runny nose. Hacking cough. Yellow pollen paste all over my truck. Oh, what fun.

While I do have some allergy issues, my biggest pollen issue is simply getting it in my eyes when I drive this time of year. It gets in and irritates my contacts, which is a Bad Thing when driving 65 on the beltline (as I found Saturday...).

Are you aware that Claritin has been de-prescriptionized and that there is a generic version called Loratadine? We get a big supply (180 days' worth) for about $18 at BJ's.

I knew it had been deprescriptionized. I didn't know about the generic.

I'll be checking it out.

I use Wal-itin D very successfully. (That's Walgreens, not Wal-Mart.) I plan to check out other options very soon.

And yeah, I hate the yellow waste all over my car too. Fortunately the local touchless wash has been running a $5-per-wash sale recently.

Believe me, I understand. My allergies get worse every year and I've become allergic to more things over the years. (for example, I didn't used to be allergic to cats...and now, well, now I am)
