Curses, Turner South!

Oh, no!

It's getting late and I'm really tired. So, what does Turner South put on TV to tempt me with? Red Dawn! It's been forever since I've seen it, but I love that movie. Patrick Swayze, Lea Thompson, Charlie Sheen, Jennifer Grey, and a few other kids against the commies! That pretty much sums up the cold war.

It's going to be hard, 'cause there are so many scenes throughout the movie that I want to see, but I'm going to try to tear myself away from the movie and go to sleep. Otherwise, I'll be up 'till two.

Edit: OK, It's almost one o'clock. I think I can tear myself away now. Well, I need to. I'm simply too exhausted to stay awake any longer and I'd rather sleep in the bed than on the couch.

Yes and no:
Red Dawn was the first motion picture released with the PG-13 rating, which had been created after difficulty rating some movies in 1984, most notably Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984). (Flamingo Kid, The (1984) was the first film to be *given* a PG-13 rating, but sat on the shelves for five months before being released.)

Darling John says he remembers that when it was released, he wasn't familiar with the PG-13, and thought it was part of the ad for the movie and that they'd just left off the "R" in RPG. :)
