Recording Woes Not So Woeful Anymore

The saga of my recording woes continues. In this installment, we meet our hero checking out his gear on his desktop computer at work. Armed with the knowledge that there is a known problem with the iMic and older Mac laptops, I hoped trying it out on a different machine would help.

My set-up sounds great on my machine at the office.

I tried it both directly line-in and going through the iMic adapter. They both sounded great. That really made me feel a lot better about my set-up. I still need to try it at home through the powered USB hub. I really hope that works, 'cause then I'd be able to do my podcast with my new equipment completely from home without any problems. If it doesn't work, at least I know that I can use my equipment on a different recording device and it will work, which is a great relief.

Now, I guess that's just one more argument for upgrading my personal computer hardware. ;-)
