One of the things that I've enjoyed about Netflix is that it is giving me the opportunity to go back and watch the first couple of seasons of NYPD Blue without having to actually purchase the discs myself. I'm only on the second disc of season one at this point, and I am absolutely loving it. It's neat to see Det. John Kelly again. It's nice to see James as a rookie, just learning the ropes. It's really nice to see a story arc that doesn't get resolved in a handful of episodes, but instead lasts the majority of the season.
Last night, I watched the episode where Lt. Fancy takes Andy out for ribs after work. That's one of the most powerful scenes in the series.
