Dear Mr. Douglas,
I just returned from seeing your latest movie, "Don't Say A Word. I was extremely disappointed. Where is the Michael Douglas of "Wall Street," "The Ghost And The Darkness," and "Traffic?" All of these, as well as most of the other movies you have starred in, were actually well-written. I think that "Don't Say A Word" was so bad, it had to be obvious from the script. The movie started off with a great premise and potential, but went nowhere. Did you not realize how bad the finished product would be when you read the script?
From the previews and commercials I had seen for "Don't Say A Word," I was mildly intrigued, but thought the movie would probably fall flat. My fears were dissuaded by the fact that you were the star. Based on your other great movies, I was sure that you would not lend your talent and hard work to a bad movie. I am sad to say that you lost credibility with me in this film. I really hope that "Smoke & Mirrors" is better.
I'm enclosing a self-addressed stamped envelope and would greatly appreciate it if you refunded the $7 I wasted on "Don't Say A Word.
