Today was the first walk I took since Wednesday. I overslept Thursday, after being out late watching a singer-songwriter perform at a coffee shop Wednesday night. I was just too lazy to get out of bed yesterday. But today I got up and went out walking after checking my email, LJ, and such.

I did the standard circuit: about three miles in about an hour. It's nice that it's beginning to get warm now -- I didn't need a sweatshirt today. I would have been comfortable in shorts instead of jeans, too.

Instead of my hiking boots, I decided to try out a pair of sneakers I found in the back of the closet about a week ago. They worked pretty well, but I think I like the ankle support that my boots provide better.

Over the past few days, I've noticed that the grass in the backyard is starting to get a little tall, so I guess it's time to mow the yard. This will be the first lawn mowing of the year.

I've still got a handful of LJ entries to write from the past week. They're rattling around in my head, mostly about geocaching, and not really important, but maybe interesting. If I don't get them committed to paper LJ in the next day or two, they're just going to vanish.

I'm thinking about going to a non-official geocaching event this afternoon. We'll see. Besides cutting the grass, I also have to do laundry and prepare tomorrow's Sunday School lesson. I don't know if I'll have time for all of that, and the caching event will likely be the one to fall off the list if something needs to get cut. I hope that doesn't happen -- it would be great to reconnect with some of the local cachers, and I think this is going to turn out to be somewhat of a low-key event, so that might be fun.

OK, enough writing. Off to cut the grass.
