Afternoon Chores

I got the yard mowed. I didn't need to pull the string trimmer out this time, but I think I'll probably have some trim work to do next time I mow. I pulled some of the ivy off the back wall -- maybe next time I'll get my gloves out and clean that whole wall up. The wall near the house is still in bad shape -- I had to be careful not to step in the hole while cutting the yard. I'm looking forward to getting that wall fixed -- it will make yard maintenance a bit easier.

I think most of the vegetation in the yard will be fine this year without much maintenance, but we'll have to get some yard tools for pruning and such by next year.

I've got my first of six loads of laundry in the washer right now, probably pretty close to being ready to move to the dryer. Even taking time out of the afternoon to go to that geocaching event, I should be able get all my laundry taken care of today with no problems.

While I'm waiting on the laundry, I think I'm going sit back for a while and enjoy Dave Chappelle on Inside The Actor's Studio. I'm about halfway through the episode and am really enjoying the interview. I might even pick up my mandolin and noodle around with it a little this afternoon. We'll see.

It's pretty big. My six loads are segregated by color and water temperature: hot white, warm dark, warm light, warm white, cold, sheets. I could probably combine warm light and warm white, but I had a big sweatshirt in the light load which took up some room.

Ah. I missed the "of" in "first of six." I was trying to figure out how you could fit your "first six loads" in the washer all at once.
