During lunch, I called up the exterminators and scheduled them to come over for some pest control activities. I've been meaning to get on a pest control service ever since we moved in -- I just never took the time to pick up the phone to schedule something. We've seen a few critters in the house every now and then, and now that it's starting to get warmer, I want to go ahead and make sure we quash anything before it becomes a real problem. Tom from Arrow came highly recommended from a friend, so I called up Arrow to schedule something. They can come out tomorrow, so that's when I scheduled it.
I also scheduled a time for them to come out Wednesday morning to set up a termite schedule. I don't think we have any termite problems -- the inspection came up clear when we bought the house, and I haven't noticed any issues -- and I want to make sure we don't develop any. Once we get on a maintenance schedule for termites and pests, I think we'll have all of the regularly-scheduled professional contracts taken care of at the new house. Sure, we can get on a schedule for lawn maintenance and gutter cleaning, but I've been able to keep up with that myself without much of a problem so far, so that's what I'll keep doing.
In other news, it's raining hard right now. I'm glad I got the lawn mowed on Saturday. But that means I'm not going to go walking this evening. That's OK, I'll be at work late enough that I'm not going to want to walk anyway. Maybe if I get ambitious, I'll walk up and down the stairs at the house for 15 minutes.
