BSOD

First, I was working on my computer just fine. Then, some people dropped by my cube and I chatted with them for a bit. Then, I turned around and woke my computer up from the screensaver.

What did I see? Not my desktop. The Blue Screen Of Death.

*sigh*

Hard reboot.

I've been at work long enough today, I'm going home. I'll deal with this stuff tomorrow.

I HATE it when that happens!

I've never trusted the sleep mode in Windows, not even in the new version. Guess I got burned too many times.

I'll tell Ronette and have her talk to Bill for you.

I'm surprised you have only one post with that tag. ;)

Yeah, I made up that tag today. Look for more entries when I get another BSOD. Otherwise, Windows pretty much rolls off my back -- blogging about it is more trouble than its worth.

BSOD
I saw a BSOD on my computer the other day, after not seeing one for many months.

Fortunately I quickly realized that the monitor I was looking at was my BSD box, and it was just the xscreensaver module. ☺ A few seconds later it was displaying the Amiga "guru meditation" crash message.
