As I was leaving for work this morning, my wife and I stepped outside to look at the flowers she's planted. And then she noticed, about three feet from where I was standing was a little bunny sitting in the tall grass! It was about this big. (If you could see me, you'd see that I'm describing something shaped a little larger than my fist.) He could have easily sat in the palm of my hand. So we backed away a bit to hopefully ease the bunny's fright, and just watched him for a little bit. Then our next-door neighbor came out to water her flowers (we live in a townhouse, so we're all close to each other). We showed her the bunny and she watched him, too. Then she approached him and the bunny scampered off.
That's a way cool way to start my day.
So it's only 9:30 in the morning and I'm going to write a thankful list for the day.
The bunny was within petting distance of me
The bunny has a cute nose that twitches a lot
Crouched in the grass, it looked like a little bunny-ball!
