I think, however, I will visit the final resting place of William Hooper and John Penn, two of the three North Carolina delegates to the Continental Congress who signed the Declaration of Independence. (The third signer, Joseph Hewes may be buried in Philadelphia.) Hooper and Penn are buried about three and a half miles from my house (closer to where we used to live).
When I think about it, it really amazes me that Greensboro is home to so much history -- history that I suspect most Greensboro residents are completely unaware. I try to take advantage of the history lessons that are available here.
