I think we should move to a nightly build process, so that you don't need to worry about this anymore.

Also, if you can switch tasks to wield a sword, you can just as easily switch tasks to work on a second project. If you don't have one, I have a pretty good list I could start you on.

Don't ever give an old programmer-turned-pointy-hair the "compiling" excuse.

Switching to nightly builds is just asking for delays -- it would really suck to have to wait 'till tomorrow to realize that you missed a semi-colon. And then have to wait 'till the next day to realize that you missed another one fifty lines later.

Multitasking to another programming project is asking for confusion between the two projects. Switching tasks to wield a sword is a much safer use of time -- it helps regenerate and refresh a programmer's mind, keeping it sharp for the next task to come along.

Don't ever pretend you still know what it's like to program, once your hair has turned pointy.
