Cycling To Work

I rode my bicycle in to work today. It was a good ride. Kinda chilly, but once I got going, it felt good. I managed to stay off of Lawndale completely, as I worked through the neighborhood a bit further than I did Sunday and came out on Pisgah Church. Crossing Cone wasn't a big deal -- there were plenty of large gaps in traffic to make it safe to cross. I didn't have any competition on Dellwood, either, so riding on that for the majority of the ride felt safe.

The shower facilities at work leave a bit to be desired, but they're not bad. I wish there were lockers, though, so I could hang my towel up instead of packing it back up in my bag. Still, it's nice to at least have a shower in the building.

The ride was 3.5 miles, took me about 20 minutes.

I was wondering if I could get to Wendover without Lawndale.

Now I know.

Yup. Dellwood is your friend. ;-)

Is it really that simple?

I live on Dellwood.

For someone who likes to explore, I sure haven't done much in my own neighborhood.

Yeah, it's pretty much that simple. Go to the end of Dellwood. If you end up on Lawndale, go to the other end. That will be Sunset. From Sunset, you can get to Wendover pretty easily. Depending on which way you want to go on Wendover, you can work through the neighborhood appropriately.

Unless you live on Dellwood between Cantebury and Lawndale, I rode by your hose this morning. I'll be riding by again this evening, probably around 6:00 or so. ;-)

I live between Canterbury and Lawndale so there goes that opportunity to stand on my porch and wave as you pass by.

But I do wave to your street when I pass it while on Wendover.

Heh. Well, I rode by your house yesterday, then. Today, I decided to stay in the neighborhood and work my way over to Pisgah Church instead of dealing with Lawndale.

It'd be great if we had showers at work!

Good for you!

Woah. That's crazy.

I want one.

Hi there. I'm Jessica. We seem to have a friend in common (jeffholton) but that's not how I found you. I'm just looking at some Christian journals and adding some people (mostly on a trial basis - no pressure) to mix it up a bit on my friends page. I'm going to add you, if you don't mind (if you do, just say) and you don't have to add me back if you don't want. Thanks and have a great day. :)
