The Books Of The Bible

In other interesting (to me, anyway) blog news, I'm currently reading The Books Of The Bible Blog, which is the blog that goes along with The Books Of The Bible project. They've published a version of the Bible without chapter and verse markings in the text (they do print them at the bottom of the page), encouraging the reading of the Bible with attention to the actual words and literary form of the text, instead of the reference classification system of the chapter and verse numbers.

It's a great idea, and reading the blog is interesting to see how they're trying to convince people to start ignoring chapter and verse markings.

I wish it was sold at amazon.com, so I could put it on my wishlist there.

It's a pain in the butt, but I used to do that when I was studying some passages. Go online and find the book, and take the annoyingly painstaking time to copy/paste the text over and remove the verse and chapter markings.

Then, print it out and study!

Yeah, I've done it before using Accordance, the best Bible software ever. Not much of a pain in the butt that way, 'cause the software can omit the markings for you.

I use del.icio.us for my wishlist. Then it works for anything, not just what Amazon (or another vendor) sells.

Feel free to send me anything from my list as compensation for the idea. ;)
