Feeling Better Today

I laid around most of yesterday evening, hoping that I would at least not get worse while waiting for the allergy medicine to kick in. It pretty much worked.

Unfortunately, the stack of stuff I was planning to do last night simply didn't happen. I should be able to do it tonight and tomorrow, though. Instead of being industrious, I laid on the couch and watched Hill Street Blues. I'm four episodes into the series now, and I really think I'm going to enjoy it a lot.

The highlight of the evening was receiving a call from a buddy and catching up with him for a while.

By the time I headed to bed, I felt terrible. I slept OK, only waking up in fits of coughing a couple of times. This morning, the tickle in my throat is mostly gone and I feel rested enough. I took the last allergy pill in the house, so I'll have to pick up some more today, but at least it looks like I'll be able to make it through without a prescription.

I've got a design review at work today, so mostly I'm hoping that my head will stay clear enough for me to finish the design and present it this afternoon. After that, I've got a fun-filled weekend planed, complete with plans to see the new Indiana Jones movie, do some geocaching, and "graduate" from my Bible Study class at church.

It'll all be so much more fun if I'm not fighting my allergies.
