Thanks! (If only the Orthodox Study Bible were available so cheaply!)

This will no doubt be helpful for the series of lectures I'm doing at our parish on the differences between our faith and other Christian groups.

Be assured that if I find an inexpensive source for the OSB, I will be posting it.

I'm not sure when they'll come out with the paperback version, but I hope it won't be too long. It makes sense that they'd want to get as much as they can out of the leather and hardcover versions first, though. It's only been out since earlier this year.

No thanks, not Calvinist. ;)

I don't know if you listen to their radio program, but it's on during my morning drive. This week they've been praising lesser-known Reformation figures. As you might expect, I have a rather different view of them, much more mixed rather than hagiographic. For me, October 31 is still All Saints' Eve, not Reformation Day.

I've heard their radio show a time or two, but not regularly. I tend more towards your leanings than theirs, but I do enjoy collecting Bibles and figured a couple of other people might be interested, too.

I might have to seek out the radio show (or sign up for the podcasts) -- even when I don't agree, I enjoy learning more about the history.

I agree with history. It's historians who are often full of bunk. ;)

I got my copy today. It's a nice Bible, though obviously I don't agree with much of the theology in it. I'm thinking about gifting it to someone who might find it more useful than I. (It's not useless to me, but perhaps may be more appreciated by someone who wouldn't own it just to critique it!)

Mine showed up Friday. I haven't spent much time with it, but I have enjoyed what little time I have spent with it. I like the way it feels, and it looks like it's going to read well. Hopefully, I'll carve some dedicated time to use it in more depth soon.
