When I think about those churches who serve *$ coffee in their narthex... MY HEAD A-SPLODE.

Wait, do they charge people for it? We have coffee in the parish hall from time to time (maybe donuts, bagels), but it's free.

Often, yes.

Mind you, some of these same sorts of churches have "self-help 'communion'" in the back, where you can make a selection between coffee, juice, water, etc., for your "This is my blood" and crackers, bagels, toast, etc., for the "This is my body."

We Orthodox Catholics do it differently, too. :)
