“Hello ___ Journal it's Dr Mellow I'm just eating in a fast food restaurant this evening and over the music lounge speakers is Christmas song. I'll tell you what. I got nothing against Christmas songs. But I do have something against hearing Christmas songs before thanksgiving. It's just long I tell ya. Normally I really do enjoy the music what they play here but tonight, I am not in the Christmas spirit, not yet check back with me in a couple of weeks. You all take care.”

Next Friday one of the stations here is going all Christmas Music until the first of the year.

That's still too early. yarbiedoll and I were talking earlier, and we'd both like them to wait 'till Advent, but I'm OK with at least waiting 'till the day after Thanksgiving.

They put the Christmas Ornaments up downtown the day after Halloween.

Wow - around here the stations that go to Christmas music revert to regular programming on the 26th.

it seems like last year it was past the 26th before they went back to their normal programming

I think that's cool - I always want to enjoy it just a little bit after the actual holiday.

I think XM already has a 24/7 Christmas channel for your my listening pleasure. However, I am enjoying the all Elvis channel that is broadcasting from Graceland. I think it's playing havoc with the Full Throttle slurpee I had earlier this afternoon.

The Full Throttle Slurpee is something to be feared and respected

For the first time in ages, yesterday was the first time I had a slurpee that I didn't mix the flavors. I just wanted a straight full throttle one. I will never mix flavors when I get that one again... I hope they don't get rid of it. :)>

and honestly, I am not a big fan of energy drinks, but that one rocks! it makes me do this: *points to icon*

I haven't seen it around here, but I had some of it when I was working up in MD over the summer.

Shoot, places are putting out Christmas stuff before Halloween now. o.O I'm with you - can we have our holidays in order, please? I'm sure some has to do with the scramble for merchant dollars come this holiday season, but dang...I do NOT need to hear "Trick or treat!" and "Deck the halls!" in the same day!

I'm a true radical. I want all my Christmassy stuff to be within the Christmas season: Dec. 25 - Jan. 5. (Nov. 15 - Dec. 24: Advent Fast!)

I'm with you. I told drmellow that I was going to rebel this year and celebrate all 12 days of Christmas, as it should be. People give up too soon.
