One of my buddies from work (the recipient of my give-away tickets) came with me and my wife joined us a little later. It had been raining, so the seats were damp, but my buddy had some towels and we wiped them down. After a little bit of sitting in the mistyt rain with our general admission tickets, someone suggested that we see if we could move into the covered section, which appeared to have lots of available seating. So we ended up enjoying the rest of the game in the comfort of rellative dryness.
At the game last night, there were some people filming crowd shots for an independant movie. I have no idea what the movie is called or when (if?) it will ever be released. I don't think I could see where they were shooting most of the time and I don't think that I got caught on film, which is just fine with me. For some of their shots, they were simply shooting whatever was going on. For other shots, they had the crowd provide some specific reactions (cheers, boos). One thing that I decided last night is that when I shoot crowd shots for my independant film at a minor league ball game, I will not have the crowd do any booing while the real game is between innings and they have a little kid running the bases as part of the between inning games. Until I realized what was going on, it appeared that one section of the crowd was booing the little kid, which was definitely not cool.
Anyway, the Bats lost last night -- by a run. In general, it was a fun game. Unless it gets rained out, I'm planning on going to tonight's game as well.
