After a long, hard (but rewarding) day at work yesterday, I stayed up a little later pulling up quarter-round from the kitchen floor and helping my wife move a large (and heavy) cupboard out of the kitchen and into the dining room. Today and tomorrow, she's going to be installing Pergo flooring in the kitchen, with her father's help. They've already done the two upstairs bathrooms and they look great. I wish I had more time and energy to help directly, but at least I was able to help a little with the preparation last night. Anyway, it was after midnight when I went to bed. A reading of Psalm 51 before going to sleep did much to calm me and let me go to sleep without too much stress.
Also, last night, I read a great article in an old issue of "Christianity Today" about repentance. It's what gave me the idea to read Psalm 51 before going to sleep. It was a great article and I hope to find some dedicated time to write a bit about my thoughts on that article and the issues it raised.
